Dominican Baseball Cheerleaders, Bailarinas Dominicanas

It is that time of the month again, meaning it is the 1st of the month, and meaning this is when the Dominican Baseball Guy blogs about one of the most important aspects of the Dominican Winter Baseball League: the cheerleaders.

Friend of the Dominican Baseball Guy, Greg Manuel, sent me this article from  It is actually just the pictures taken from an article from Dominican website  Here is the original article and another one from a few days before.  Both articles discuss the cheerleaders for the Santo Domingo team Escogido.

As the Dominican Baseball Guy's last post on the cheerleaders said, many Dominicans were very upset that Escogido had Venezuelan, not Dominican, cheerleaders last year.  Well, according to the articles from, other teams have hired foreign dancers this year, even though their owners and fans criticized Escogido for hiring foreign dancers last year.  Escogido, for their part, have hired three Dominican cheerleaders/dancers this year.

Anyone know the score in the game last night?  Probably not, but they saw the cheerleaders:

  1. Wow! Venezuela or D.R...All I gotta say is wow.

  2. Haha, this is your favorite Dominican Baseball Guy column huh dodgerbobble? Glad you like it, to bad the Dodgers don't have cheerleaders that dance on the home dugout in between innings.

I need to find you a Dominican cheerleader bobblehead.
